Boggs Holdings LLC d/b/a Coding Capybaras (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use codingcapybaras.com and related services (the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information: email address, password (stored as a cryptographic hash, never in plain text), and any name or profile information you choose to provide.
  • Payment information: when you subscribe to a paid tier, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. We may store payment metadata Stripe provides us, including the last four digits of your card, card brand, and expiration date.
  • Content: any settings, configuration, or other data you submit through the Service (e.g., branding customizations, business entity information, support inquiries).
  • Communications: if you contact us by email or other means, we receive and retain that communication.

1.2 Information We Collect Automatically

When you access the Service, we automatically collect:

  • Log data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps of activity.
  • Device information: device type, screen resolution, and other technical characteristics necessary to render the Service properly.
  • Account activity: records of actions you take within the Service, stored in our audit log for security, debugging, and compliance purposes.

1.3 Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use essential cookies required for the Service to function, and analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used.

Essential cookies include:

  • Authentication cookies: to keep you signed in across requests.
  • Security cookies: for cross-site request forgery (CSRF) protection.

Analytics cookies:

  • Google Analytics (GA4): we use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google LLC, to measure traffic and understand how visitors use the Service — for example, which pages are viewed and general device, browser, and approximate (city-level) location information. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes this usage data on our behalf, and some data is shared with Google. We do not enable Google Analytics Advertising Features and do not use this data for cross-site or behavioral advertising. We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking cookies, or behavioral targeting cookies, and we do not use analytics data to track you across third-party websites.

You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, and you can decline analytics specifically using the opt-out above. Blocking essential cookies may prevent you from signing in or using parts of the Service; blocking analytics cookies does not affect functionality. If you are in a region whose laws require consent for analytics cookies (such as the EU or UK), you may decline them using these controls.

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Process subscriptions and payments
  • Authenticate users and protect against unauthorized access

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your personal information for behavioral advertising.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. Specific retention periods:

  • Account data: retained while your account is active; deleted within 30 days after you delete your account (subject to legal and operational exceptions).
  • Payment records: retained for at least 7 years to comply with tax and financial reporting obligations.
  • Audit logs: retained for a minimum of 1 year; may be retained longer for security investigations and compliance.
  • Backups: may persist in encrypted backup systems for up to 90 days after deletion.

Aggregated and anonymized information that cannot reasonably be linked to you may be retained indefinitely.

5. Your Rights and Choices

5.1 General Rights

Regardless of your location, you may:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your account and associated personal information (subject to retention obligations above)
  • Export a copy of your account data in a portable format

5.2 California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended:

  • Right to know: what categories of personal information we collect, how we use it, and to whom we disclose it.
  • Right to delete: request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal exceptions).
  • Right to correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of “sale” or “sharing”: we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is nothing to opt out of, but you have the right to confirm this.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that trigger this right.
  • Right to non-discrimination: we will not deny service, charge different prices, or provide different quality of service because you exercised your privacy rights.

5.3 EU / UK / EEA Residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or the European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:

  • Right to rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data
  • Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) — request deletion of your personal data

The legal bases on which we process your personal data are:

  • Performance of a contract (to provide the Service you signed up for)
  • Legitimate interests (to operate and improve the Service, prevent fraud, and ensure security)

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without parental consent, we will delete that information.

7. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for all communications with the Service
  • Cryptographic hashing of passwords (we never store passwords in plain text)
  • Access controls limiting which personnel can access your data
  • Secure infrastructure provided by Vercel and Supabase
  • Audit logging of administrative actions

No security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

8. International Data Transfers

The Service is hosted in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have data protection laws different from those in your country.

For transfers from the European Union, United Kingdom, or European Economic Area to the United States, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to the address associated with your account or by posting a notice on the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The “Effective Date” at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when it was last updated.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
